KAKE, the legacy ABC affiliate in Wichita, Kansas, has an opening for Sales Marketing Account Executive who specializes in Digital, web-based, and Social Media marketing solutions.  The Digital Marketing Specialist will be charged with recruiting and assisting new advertisers in using KAKE’s suite of Digital Marketing solutions to promote their businesses and achieve their marketing goals.  Broadcast sales experience is not required; we are looking for an expert in the Digital Advertising realm to join our team and focus exclusively on growing our Digital sales revenues.  The successful applicant will have a minimum of five (5) years of successful Digital marketing sales experience and will work both independently and in conjunction with other members of the KAKE Sales team to achieve budgeted Digital revenue goals.
 

DUTIES AND EXPECTATIONS:

• Enterprise new prospective Digital advertisers
• Communicate effectively with high-level decision makers within an organization
• Develop web-based marketing campaigns customized to the individual needs of each business, based on sound research and a thorough Client Needs Analysis
• Exceed budgeted revenue goals
• Manage time effectively and independently
• Self-educate to stay current with the latest industry trends, and disseminate to the Sales team
• Ensure collections from clients are received in a timely manner
• Be a positive emissary for KAKE and Lockwood Broadcast Group
• Perform other tasks as required by Sales Management
   

REQUIREMENTS:

• Minimum of five (5) years’ experience working with business owners and/or media buyers on improving their Digital marketing strategy
• Expert-level knowledge of current Digital marketing ecosystem and current consumer behavior as it relates to media consumption
• College degree in Marketing, Business, Advertising or Mass Communications preferred
• Proficiency with computer software, especially Microsoft Office programs (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and an ability to learn new software quickly
• Excellent attention to detail, follow-up, and organization skills
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills in conjunction with outstanding formal presentation skills
• Organizational skills and the ability to work under constant time-sensitive deadlines
• Must be a team player with an enthusiastic, positive attitude and desire to win
• Must be able to sit for long periods of time and lift at least 10 pounds
